Who is writing

I am Callum Brennan. I work from home, which is why I am in Nha Trang at all, and I ride a motorbike, which is why I have seen more of the province than most people who live here. I have been here 2 years, and this guide is what I would tell a friend who just landed at Cam Ranh: which beach for which month, which islands are actually open, what a month costs, what the rain is like, where the durian is.

It is one person's experience, and it says so. I have not been everywhere in every season, and where a post rests on one visit it tells you that.

How the facts are checked

Every number on this site, a price, a distance, a date, a fee, a temperature, comes from a source that is listed at the bottom of the post, with the day it was read. If I could not find a published figure, the post says so rather than guessing. My own experience is described in words; my own receipts are not published as data, because a price I paid once is not a price you will pay.

Each post shows the day it was published and the day its facts were last checked. A post is only re-dated when something in it was actually re-read. Nothing on the site is dated by the day the site was rebuilt.

Two things are handled with particular care. Tours to the islands of Binh Ba and Binh Hung were banned by the province in June 2026, and nothing here reads as an invitation to go. And nothing here is legal, medical or visa advice: where a rule is quoted, it carries its date and a link to the official page, and your situation is yours.

What this site is not

It does not rate hotels. For that, and for the taxi numbers, the bus stations, the visa rules and the airport, I keep two reference guides, which are also mine and which do carry booking links: Nha Trang Guide (the city, its hotels by name and how it works), Cam Ranh Guide (the airport and the Bai Dai resort strip). This guide carries no affiliate links of its own. The disclosure page spells it out.

The province

Khanh Hoa runs from the Ca pass in the north to the border with Binh Thuan in the south, and since 1 July 2025 that southern third is the former Ninh Thuan province. The old districts stopped being administrative units the same day, but they are still how people say where a place is, so the guide is organised by them: Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, Dien Khanh, Ninh Hoa, Van Ninh, Khanh Vinh, Khanh Son and Ninh Thuan. Province-wide posts sit under the whole province .

Publishing
